Typical prices for a local move
These are our Standard prices for a local move of up to 10 miles between your old and new home, with a typical amount of furniture and ground-floor access at both ends. Standard includes furniture wrapped in blankets, beds taken apart and rebuilt, and everything placed in the right rooms.

Example: Wolverhampton to Telford
A typical 3-bed move from Wolverhampton (WV1) to Telford (TF1) is about 24 road miles, so it comes to about £930 on Standard. A 2-bed on the same route is about £640.
Cheaper option: Basic
If you're happy to pack and take furniture apart yourself, our Basic move is cheaper: from £340 for a 1-bed, £515 for a 2-bed, £760 for a 3-bed and £955 for a 4-bed.
Everything done for you: Premium
Premium adds our full packing service: everything boxed, wrapped and labelled for you. Packing adds from £250 for a 1-bed up to £585 for a 4-bed, a bit more if you've got a lot of belongings.
What makes the price go up or down
- Distance: the first 10 miles are included. After that, it's a few pounds per mile depending on the size of your home.
- How much you're moving: more or less furniture than a typical home of your size moves the price up or down.
- Stairs and lifts: a flat on the first floor or above adds from £50 without a lift, or £40 with one.
- Packing: only if you choose Premium.
What you won't pay for
No booking or admin fees, no fuel surcharges, and no charge for blankets, insurance or stairs you've told us about. If there's more to move on the day, extra time is £100 an hour, and we always agree it with you first.

Are there any hidden fees?
No. Your price covers everything you've told us about, including mileage, stairs, lifts, blankets, wrapping and insurance. There are no booking, admin or fuel charges. Your price only changes if your move changes, for example more to move or harder access on the day. Extra time is £100 per hour, and we always agree it with you first. If you've got less to move than you told us, let us know and we'll look at your price again.
How much does a 3-bed house move cost in the West Midlands?
With us, a local 3-bed move starts from £885 on Standard, which includes wrapping and taking beds apart. Longer distances and more furniture cost more. The instant quote gives you an exact fixed price.
Is a cheaper man and van option available?
Yes. Our Basic move is our man and van service: you pack and get ready, we load, drive and unload. It starts from £340 for a 1-bed.
